Under the recent “shelter in place” order in Oregon, many homecare and personal support workers have asked for a way to document that they are care providers, and therefore essential workers. Click here and complete the form, and you will be automatically emailed a letter verifying you are an essential worker.
If you were eligible for benefits under the Oregon Homecare Workers Supplemental Trust and/or the Oregon Homecare Workers Benefit in February 2020, then your eligibility under the applicable Trust(s) will continue through June 30, 2020 even if you are unable to work the required number of bargaining unit hours in March, April and May 2020. Further, if you were eligible for benefits under the Supplemental Trust and/or Benefit Trust in February and you work at least one hour of bargaining unit work in May 2020, your eligibility under the applicable Trust(s) will continue through July 31, 2020.
